People & Culture Coordinator

GreenCollar is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused People & Culture Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our People & Culture function. This role joins a small team and plays a key part in delivering a consistent and positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to off-boarding and compliance.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their HR career who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to grow their skills in a purpose-driven organisation.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment activity, including advertising, screening, interview coordination and reference checks.
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction processes to ensure new starters feel welcomed and set up for success from day one.
  • Prepare employment contracts, variations, letters and other HR documentation in line with policy and legislative requirements.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries, providing timely and professional support to employees and managers.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data across our HRIS platform.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring employee data changes are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities, probation reviews and key lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Support compliance activities, policy documentation and continuous improvement of people processes.
  • Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team as required.

 

About You

  • 1–2 years’ experience in an HR or People & Culture role.
  • Foundational knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Friendly, professional communication style with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office Suite; experience with an HRIS platform is advantageous, with knowledge of ELMO highly desirable.
  • Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and genuine interest in people and culture.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline preferred.
