Across FY26, ACCUs have remained within a narrow price range.

The spot market made up 70% of the FY26 market.
Compliance demand from Safeguard Mechanism entities is expected to keep growing in the short-to-medium term as baseline decline rates reduce each year. Demand is expected to peak in the late 2030s.
Reef Credits
Reef Credits have had a quieter, but positive twelve months.
Reef Credits are sold through direct, bilateral negotiated deals, so there’s no single benchmark price to point to – but activity in the market has continued to build.
The spot price for Reef Credits is currently $150. Demand continues to come from government, corporate and institutional clients wanting measurable water quality outcomes.
Notable Reef Credit clients in the last 12 months include the Sydney Opera House Trust, Passions of Paradise and Queensland Alumina Limited.
