Saul joined GreenCollar back in 2014 as a member of the NSW field team. Since then he has moved from Field Team Leader to Field Team Manager and in 2018 he relocated to sunny Queensland to work on projects throughout Central QLD. Saul is a skilled field ecologist with extensive experience in flora and fauna identification and surveying techniques. He has also provided training to new field staff and has been a patient driving instructor to those learning to drive the fleet of manual field vehicles.
With a background in GIS, his current role is to support the origination team, working with landholders to develop carbon projects with initial site visits, rapid assessments and surveying.
Saul grew up on a small farm outside of Taree and his love of all things outdoors led him to study Environmental Science and Management at Southern Cross University. In the summer Saul also volunteers for the Bargara Turtle Program, supporting the success of nesting and hatching endangered loggerhead turtles.
When he is not at his desk or getting lost around Central QLD, he is out camping in the North Burnett, catching a wave in Bargara, or having a run on the Rugby Park.
