About the role
GreenCollar is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the finance team on a permanent full-time basis. This role will assist with the day to day financial operations, reporting, and reconciliations. The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
The location for the role is flexible but with a preference for Sydney.
Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting and statements
- Perform bank, credit card and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly statutory returns (incl. BAS and payroll tax)
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with audit preparations and compliance activities
- Provide support for the environmental credit trading portfolio administration
- Other financial and administrative support within the finance department
- Assist in project cost accounting ensuring accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CA or CPA (or currently working towards)

About the role
GreenCollar is currently seeking Field Technicians to join our Field Teams in regional Queensland and Western Australia. This is a casual opportunity in which you will be required to take part in one 12-day field trip per month, and will be offered the opportunity to participate in other office based work in the off weeks.
This is a physically active role suited to candidates who are keen to work and live outdoors in a tight knit team, and are eager to sharpen their understanding of land systems and pastoral enterprises, interact with local communities and contribute to long-lasting, impactful work.
In QLD, transport is provided from Brisbane. In WA, transport is provided from Perth or Carnarvon. Applicants outside of these areas are welcome to apply but must be aware that their travel from home to the base location will not be covered.
Accommodation, meals and equipment are provided, along with training. A good attitude is the most important thing you can bring to this role.
Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:
- Undertaking monitoring and biomass surveys for native forest protection and regeneration carbon projects
- Conducting plant species identification
- Data collection including but not limited to vegetation measurements, photographs and infrastructure descriptions
- Equipment maintenance and calibration
- Compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk practices at all times
- Navigating through bushland on foot and vehicle
- Unrestricted Class C drivers licence
- Knowledge of Australian plants, and experience of taxonomic identification of plants
- Demonstrated experience of working outdoors
- Strong understanding of WH&S requirements and obligations in the field
- Commitment to the accurate and detailed recording of survey data
- Exposure to rural landscapes
- Ability to work away from home on a regular basis and for extended periods at a time
- Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions

- 4WD experience or qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in carrying out monitoring and biomass surveys in the carbon farming sector or in a similar role

About the role
GreenCollar is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the finance team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work closely with the Assistant Accountant and Financial Accountant, in leading and managing the day-to-day finance team operations.
In addition to financial reporting, financial compliance and some financial planning and analysis (FP&A), GreenCollar’s finance team owns several operational business functions including the managing of the environmental credit trading portfolio and facilitation of landholder settlements. This role will provide the opportunity for involvement in all of these areas under the guidance and support of the Head of Finance.

Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial information ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements
- Provide meaningful analytical insights on monthly financial performance contributing to the monthly board report. Identify potential actions and provide recommendations to senior management
- Manage the monthly financial reporting close processes with the support of a Financial Accountant and an Assistant Accountant
- Key involvement in annual financial budget and ongoing financial forecasting
- Preparation of weekly cashflow forecast and covenant compliance projections
- Assist Head of Finance with the management of the environmental credits trading portfolio including facilitation of trades, scenario modelling contract deliveries and liaison with the operational team
- Monitor and review the teams completion of financial reconciliations and monthly reports
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls
- Assist with taxation and compliance lodgements for Australian and US entities
- Key role in the financial audit process ensuring completion in line with regulatory requirements
- Key involvement in ERP system implementation project
- Involvement in ad-hoc board reporting, analysis and Q&A
- Lead the cost allocation project ensuring appropriate cost apportionment to GreenCollar projects and portfolios
- CA/CPA qualified with + 5 years’ experience in financial reporting roles, preferably with experience in professional services background
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and possesses the ability to manage competing deliverables
- A confident, enthusiastic, self-starter who can drive their career and professional development
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to transfer financial awareness to operational data and processes
- Demonstrated experience in transitioning skills across multiple industries or sub/sectors
- Strong Financial Reporting / Financial Compliance Experience (IFRS & Corps Act) – ability to work with complex transactions and recommend an accounting position to the wider team

About your role
With the rapid growth of our organisation, GreenCollar is seeking an exceptional and seasoned Head of Portfolio to join the Operations team on a permanent full-time basis. The role will either need to be located in our Head Office in Sydney with the ability to travel or in close proximity to a majority of our projects (specific states include- QLD, SA, WA and NSW).
As Head of Portfolio, you will report into the Chief Operating Officer. You will be responsible for the performance, integrity and long-term growth of one or more of our domestic carbon portfolios. You will lead a portfolio of projects to ensure they achieve their project outcomes, are managed with a focus on quality and integrity, and deliver demonstrable value to all stakeholder groups including landholders and custodians, GreenCollar, and clients.
In this role you will be:
- Managing at least one portfolio of active GreenCollar projects to ensure the portfolio is focused on achieving the project outcomes of each project. These include ensuring that projects perform on measures such as:
- The maintenance and growth of carbon stock
- The maintenance and growth of biodiversity
- The maintenance and growth of agricultural production
- The implementation of the monitoring and evaluation frameworks
- Ensuring the projects performance is in line with project expectations and forecasts, which will include but is not limited to; achieving project goals and milestones, the generation of ACCUs and other credits, sell-through of ACCUs and other credits
- Reporting and audit obligations are met with a high level of integrity
- The effective planning and management of the portfolio at all stages (strategic planning, forecasting, goal setting, budgeting and management)
- Identifying opportunities to improve project impact
- Supporting new opportunity development across all of GreenCollar’s current and emerging project types,methodologies, and domains (i.e., territories/locales)
- Manage and develop the portfolio team
- Working effectively across the broader Operations team to actively contribute to the long-term performance of the performance of GreenCollar’s consolidated domestic carbon portfolio(s) and enabling capabilities
What will help you succeed
- Proven track record of successfully building and leading a multidisciplinary team (ideally including commercial and technical functions)

Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:
- Responsible for establishing and managing constructive, productive relationships across a broad range of key stakeholders, and most consistently engages with landholders, pastoralists, land managers, regulators, and auditors

The role
GreenCollar is seeking an exceptional Senior Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be taking the lead on investigating, understanding, and communicating the performance of our environmental regeneration projects.
As a Senior MRV Analyst you will also work closely with:
- your peers in the Portfolio team to investigate project performance and opportunities;
- your peers across GreenCollar on the continuous improvement of measurement, monitoring, reporting, verification, geospatial, and remote sensing practices;

Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:
- Lead the analysis of project data from multiple sources using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate project performance
- Proactively monitor ongoing project events, activities, and performance
- Create and validate project forecasts
- Prepare and manage project and portfolio reporting schedules, sequences and requirements

- Understand environmental markets methods and methodologies, with a particular focus on carbon methods (including Avoided Deforestation, Avoided Clearing, Human Induced Regeneration, Native Forest from Managed Regrowth, and others)
- Understand each project’s adherence to it’s project method (activities; outcomes)
- Understand how data tools process available information
- Lead the investigation and pursuit of opportunities to improve the quality, scalability, efficiency and standardisation of project analysis and reporting
- Work with Portfolio and Community of Practice peers to improve the integration of core monitoring and analysis activities into project lifecycle management
- Lead site visits for measurement, monitoring, audit, or stakeholder relationship purposes
Skills and experience
- Comfortable working collaboratively in rapidly changing environments with a high degree of ambiguity
- Demonstrated strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to break down complex problems using first principle thinking, devise effective solutions and oversee for their implementation
- Ability to drive insights, influence decision making and implement agreed solutions in line with a project or portfolio’s objective
- Track record of applying statistical concepts, modelling, forecasting, hypothesis development and testing
- Ability to manage, manipulate and query data using tools such as SQL
- Ability to understand and interrogate geospatial information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and data-driven narratives to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple data analysis projects, set realistic timelines, and deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail when working with data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in analysis and reporting
- Experience in, or familiarity with, environmental markets - including experience with modelling tools such as FullCAM, RMT, SavBAT - a plus
- A passion for the natural environment and sustainability a plus
