GreenCollar is Australia’s leading ecosystem services project developer and market investor, with over 200 projects spanning 5 million hectares of active conservation as well as a growing international portfolio of work targeting nature-based solutions in carbon abatement, biodiversity conservation, water security and plastics circularity. About the role
GreenCollar is seeking an FSC Consultant who is an expert in preparing Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) projects for certification and auditing to support the GreenCollar International Programme on a temporary part-time basis. The location for the role is flexible.
In this role you will:
- Provide advice on FSC Forest Management certification to GreenCollar’s International Programme for a tree planting project in Malawi
- Develop an FSC Implementation Plan to inform GreenCollar on next steps to seek FSC certification, particularly considering grouped small, low-impact managed forest (SLIMF) and CFM requirements
- Draft and/or review documents to meet FSC requirements
- Train staff on meeting FSC requirements and processes, if needed
- Visit the project site as part of or in preparation for mock or actual FSC audits
- Support GreenCollar in responding to independent certification body
- Other advice, analysis, and/or development of materials as required
