About the role
GreenCollar is currently recruiting for a Senior Associate. This is a permanent full-time role reporting into the Chief Investment Officer. This role will be responsible for closely working alongside the Chief Investment Officer and broader team to drive the structuring, marketing and sales of GreenCollar’s suite of environmental products (across carbon, water quality and biodiversity) across key corporate, institutional and government client segments.
The location for the role is flexible. The position will preferably be located in our Sydney head office or remotely from anywhere else in Australia for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Work closely with the leadership and broader GC team to execute the environmental markets demand strategy including leading the development of client pitch decks and associated client engagement materials
- Drive the strategy, analysis, and delivery of market-leading voluntary net zero, ESG and Safeguard mechanism compliance solutions across the corporate and institutional client segments
- Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and SME clients including delivering on their environmental product requirements
- Manage the cross functional GC relationships, process, and systems to ensure efficient and effective sale and execution of our suite of environmental products
- Proactively drive the design and implementation of innovative structuring solutions and strategic decision-making process using investment and financial modelling analysis
- Pursue, evaluate and support the negotiation and execution of structured long-term environmental product off-take agreements
- Foster an environment of curiosity and proactivity within the team
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in humanities or any other relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience across the banking or professional services industry
- Being able to effectively support all aspects of the environmental credit sales process
- Highly proficient in business writing, pitch preparation and presentations
- Experience working in a complex, fast moving environment, dealing professionally with multiple stakeholders
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
- A team player with excellent people management skills
- Demonstrated high level planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including Executive and C-level.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and display initiative.
