Fergal has spent 30 years in northern Australia working in primary industry. He’s worked in agricultural R&D, extension and commercial agronomy. He is passionate about Landcare, natural resource management and sustainable farming. He now runs his own his own private consultancy and recently joined Green Collar as a part time NT Business Development Manager. Fergal sees carbon farming and capture as an ideal fit and opportunity for agriculture and pastoralism in the tropics. It’s a way of providing an alternative income, enhancing sustainable practices and moderating the effects of climate change. Carbon is a contentious and confusing space but Fergal looks forward to assisting landholders understand it better and avail of any opportunity that will benefit their business and long term sustainability.
