Laura Sutton

Laura Sutton is the Head of Nature at GreenCollar, with 18 years’ experience specialising in environmental project development, approvals and compliance, Laura brings her expertise to lead the delivery of GreenCollar’s emerging NaturePlus portfolio.

Her career has spanned the government, not-for-profit, and resources sectors, experiences that have broadened her skills and reinforced the urgent need for credible, scalable, and inclusive nature-based solutions. At GreenCollar, Laura has worked across carbon, reef, and biodiversity initiatives, playing a key role in developing nuanced project designs, securing complex approvals, and embedding cultural governance in environmental project delivery.

Now focused on NaturePlus, she draws on this deep cross-sector experience to help shape projects that restore biodiversity, improve ecosystems, and strengthen stewardship of land through measurable, robust frameworks to track improvement over time.

By focusing on credibility, collaboration, and lasting impact, Laura has put her Environmental Science degree from the University of Queensland to good use. Her work is contributing to nationally significant restoration efforts, strengthening partnerships with Traditional Owners, and supporting GreenCollar’s leadership in Australia’s growing natural capital market.

Laura is a proud mother of two young girls and values the importance of teaching them where their food comes from, instilling a deep connection to land, sustainability, and everyday choices. Outside of work, she’s an avid baker and values time spent with her family.
